The STEM academic community is being impacted by rapid changes:
OSIsoft recognizes these changes and can help you make this transition to advance student engagement.
The OSIsoft Academic Program has three segments:
OSIsoft provides a multifaceted program to engage with academia:
Carnegie Mellon University
At Carnegie Mellon University, the PI System is used in the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics. Using the PI System, CMU has broken through data silos to create intelligent dashboards and reports that facilitate building analytics. They’ve integrated PI System data with Microsoft’s Azure Machine Learning service to further improve energy management.
UC Davis uses the PI System across their campus to support utilities operations, research initiatives, and classroom education. The UC Davis Water Dashboard and UC Davis Utilities Consumption Dashboard support campus-wide conservation efforts. Using advanced data analytics and machine learning algorithms, UC Davis has developed a method for predicting EV charger availability.
Michigan Tech University
Michigan Tech University uses the PI System within their Chemical Engineering Unit Operations Lab. The PI System is the data infrastructure behind their two, fully automated pilot plants. Chemical engineering students gain real-world process engineering experience while using industry standard tools.
