In this course, you will learn how to use this tool to access your process data, create meaningful reports, and use them to make key decisions about your plant performance. PI DataLink is our add-in that allows users to access and deliver data to and from Microsoft Excel and create easy-to-read reports.
We will guide you on how to obtain current and archived values for a tag, as well as retrieve compressed and sampled data. Additionally, this course leverages the intuitive PI AF asset structures to enable you to retrieve key attributes of an asset, such as current, archived, compressed, and sampled values.
The course lasts 3 weeks and comprises short instructional video lectures; self-serve exercises to reinforce key concepts; discussion forums for you to interact with your peers at other enterprises, post questions, answer questions posted by others, and earn rewards for your participation; and a final project. Once you have completed and passed the final project, you will be awarded a certificate for your participation.
This course is for beginning users of PI system data, and is open to anyone who wishes to learn about PI DataLink. If you’re a process engineer or a plant operator and are interested in learning about the key features of PI DataLink, how to access process data, and create meaningful reports that your end users could use, then this course will be useful for you.
