Exercise 1 - Before you can administer your PI System security, you need to make sure that you have administrator access to the computers in your PI System.

If you're using the Configuring PI Data Archive Security - Cloud Environment, review Configuring PI Data Archive Security Online Course - Cloud Environment2017R2.xlsx  before you get started with the course. If you're working on your own test environment, you will have to get this from the owner of the machines.

This objective of this exercise is to ensure that the account you will be using for the rest of the course is either in a domain administrator's active directory group or is granted administrative rights to the machines in your PI System. This can be accomplished by looking at the contents of the user groups on your domain controller, or the users and groups on each machine and checking for the account you're using.
