As PI Systems grow across security, geographic or even departmental boundaries, the underlying security infrastructure may
change. PI Collectives can span multiple trusted and un-trusted domains. With the increased adoption of the PI System, PI Administrators may be challenged
with implementing a cross-domain PI Collective. What appears to be a daunting task can easily be handled by careful planning and configuration. This
whitepaper addresses the complications, challenges and procedures required for implementing a PI Collective across multiple domains.
It is assumed that the reader has a good understanding of the PI System, PI Collectives and their installation and
administration. Further information on these aspects of the PI system can be found on the OSIsoft Technical Support and Training websites.
