Problem Description:

Now that we know how to add an output expression to an Event Frame, let’s calculate the total amount of motorcycle tires producing during each event frame created in Exercise 7: Capture a specific event in your process.

Approach: Find the 'Reference Type' attribute on the press elements, and write out the necessary expression(s) to capture the times that motorcycle tires are being produced. When you are ready to evaluate the number of motorcycle tires produced, use the Int32 value type to get the correct whole number as an output.

Bonus: Ensure that the tires produced during the event frame are good tires.

Note: You can complete this exercise by using the "PI Big Tires Company" AF Database supplied in the Cloud Environment as well as an XML file zipped in the Getting started: Configuring Analytics with PI AF section. If you do not wish to use the database provided, then you can model the exercise on your own processes.
