As mentioned in a previous post, PI Cloud Connect uses a technology called Azure Access Control (ACS) which will soon be retired by Microsoft. Over the past year, OSIsoft has been working on replacing delegation of user authentication via ACS for PI Cloud Connect to a new technology. The change will include migrating existing user accounts to this new technology.

We are working closely with Microsoft to make this change a "silent" migration (where a new invitation and user consent is not required). Under our current plan, this will only be possible for any user who logged into the PI Cloud Connect customer portal in the past year. Because of this, we ask you to log in your PI CC account if you have not done so in the past year, in order to avoid a manual process later.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. For more information about retirement of ACS, refer to this Microsoft doc.
