Hello, members of PI Square!


In the past few months, I have been involved in the development of the Asset-based PI Example Kit for Fleet Maintenance and Production. This kit aims to give a little overview of the PI System functionalities when one wants to track the productivity and maintenance needs of a fleet. Even though this kit uses a fleet from the mining industry as an example, the idea of productivity and losses in a fleet is beyond only mining. This kit uses condition-based maintenance in Haul Trucks and Electric Rope Shovel to track productivity and losses. In other words, you will be capable to see which operator is digging less ore, or which driver cause more rack motion (torsional or twisting motion) in the Haul Truck.


To reach our goal and extensively use all PI System capabilities, I have built this Example kit with PI Vision displays, PI Datalink report, and Power BI report (the data was gathered with PI Integrator for Business Analytics). Additionally, you can highlight your most valuable cases utilizing Event Frames to do various calculations using PI Analysis.


Inside the zip file, you will find all the files required to execute this kit, including the User Guide which explains the features and implementation choices regarding the kit and how to prepare it to work with your own PI System.

Note: The creation of this kit aimed to demonstrate the capabilities of PI AF using demo data samples; implementation on real-world operational environments may require further studies and development.
