Hi! Please check my exercise.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Jaime Rodriguez Delgado,
Are you still waiting for someone to check your exercise?
Yes, I'm waiting yet.
I have reviewed your exercise.
It all looks really good.
I would like to provide a follow up to Task 2 and the 'YUL FM 006.Flow Rate' tag you found. We have this KB article that talks about what a 'Shutdown' value can mean - PI Point Is Showing "Shutdown". While it is possible a value of 'Shutdown' can be sent from a data source, this would have to come directly from the data source. Most often, this value comes from the PI Data Archive, which is explained in the article I linked to.
Thus, if you find that this tag remains stale over time, you more than likely want to figure out why it's not updating in between shutdowns of your PI Data Archive.
Does this make sense?
Thank you for your time. If the tag remains stale over time the state will be "Shutdown".
Do you understand that the "Shutdown" value is not related to the tag being stale?
Hi Caleb!, yes sir, now I understand "Shutdown" means the actual shutdown time of the PI Server as captured by PI Snapshot Subsystem in any environment.
