Create an initial Baseline backup

Open Command Prompt and Run as Admin. Screenshots below display the commands that were used to create the baseline back and verify that it was successfully completed.

Create Automated Backup

The image below displays that command prompt with commands to create automated backups in F drive.

 

 

Check the Task Scheduler to verify that the PI Backup is generated

Configure AF Backup

 

Open SQL server management studio.

1. Where are the backup files located? 

     The backup files are located on my F Drive and in Backup Folder  (F:\Backup)

2. When and how often are the files backed up?

    Files get backed up every day at 3:15 AM

3. Determine how PI AF Server is backed up? Where are the backed up files stored?

   If AF Server and AF SQL Server are installed on the PI Data Archive, then AF backup is integrated with PI Data Archive backup. The PI backup script automatically calls for the AF backup script that backs up AF SQL DB. The PI        AF Server files are backed up on F Drive - F:\Backup\Automated\AF

4. When and how often are the files backed up?

    This job is scheduled to run every day at 3:15 am.
