Hello Registered Learners,

I'm Rick Davin and I will be your facilitator for this Developing Applications with AF SDK small private online course.

The workshop starts today, October 30, 2017 and will conclude on Friday, November 17th.  This gives you a period of approximately 3 weeks to complete the course.

The course material is available here: Developing Applications with PI AF SDK

If you have any GENERAL questions (technical or otherwise) to help you get started, please post them in this threadOnline Training: Developing Applications with AF SDK Online Course October 2017 - General Questions and Answers

As you progress through the course and have specific questions on exercises, post a new thread in the Learning Forum.

Now that you know the essentials of the course, I'd like to learn a bit about you.  Please provide a brief description of who you are, what you do, your goals of this course, and anything else you would like to share below.

I'll go first!

I am a member of the PI Developers Club team, which strives to provide support for people who wish to utilize our Developer Technologies.  I work out of OSIsoft's Houston office.  I have been with OSIsoft for 1.5 years, but 15 years prior to that I was on the other side of the fence as a customer.  I have 3 goals for this training.  The first is to make sure that you leave this course having learned at least the basics of how to develop using the AF SDK.  The second is to provide you with enough technical knowledge to follow along - and participate - in the discussions that happen over in the PI Developers Club.  The third is to give you the resources and tools of where and how to find help so that your skillset may continually grow.
