Can we run more than one "Piconfig" instance to Up-Load Historical Data into the PI Data Archive?
Certainly. I assume you want to increase the amount of data you are pumping into the archive. You can run several simultaneously. You'll be limited by network traffic and server load at some point.
Adding to steve I want you to suggest UFL\PITOPI for the history recovery to get better efficiency and also PIconfig is not collective aware.
To add on to the already good answers, piconfig also writes directly to the archive, so it will bypass compression/exception settings.
In what format is the data that is being brought in?
I would recommend using UFL / PItoPI or the PowerShell Tools for PI System

Thank you both for your prompt reply.
Yes, I'm exploring PI UFL now, I've already created a Case file, and I'm being supported by the Osi Soft tech Support team as we speak.
I will try their suggestions and let you guys know on the outcome.
The data is in multiple formats from ".csv" to ".xls" and ".log" formats.
We have written a script to arrange and convert the data into .csv files first for the time being. Later when PI UFL works we will switch to that method.
