AF Server and Analytics access to PI Server

We have a 2-node PI collective, 2 AF Servers behind a load balancer, and a separate Analytics server (Analysis and Notifications Services).

I know the Analytics Server requires PI Buffer Subsystem configured so it can buffer and fanout data to the PI Collective.

- Do the AF Servers need to have buffering configured?  Do they ever write data to PI Points?

- Does the AF Application Service require read/write access to the PIPOINT database and/or to individual tags and data?

- Does the Analysis Service require read/write access to the PIPOINT database and/or to individual tags and data?

- Does the Notifications Service require read/write access to the PIPOINT database and/or to individual tags and data?
