Does any have a recommendation for non-windows based thin client for viewing PI Vision display?
I'm a little confused by this question because PI Vision is a web-based application and view-able through a web-page so it's accessible by most modern web browsers and thus inherently a thin client by design.
If you don't want Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, then Google Chrome and Firefox are non-windows specific options that are available for you.
Rob, I am looking for recommendation on thin client hardware that aren't windows based (getting around licensing costs and internal support cost related to windows) to host unmanaged displays on our plant floor. For example we are testing a HP t430 which runs on HP ThinPro OS. The issue we are running into is that with kerberos delegation you have to always log into the page before being able to access PI Vision therefore requiring a human in the loop. Just wondering what others have done whether it be a hardware solution (raspberry PI, Dell Wyse, Intel compute stick running CentOS with a netboot server, etc.), adjusting PI Vision settings, or both.
