I want to get always the first sheet from an Excel workbook because everyday is changing and it has a different name but I don't want to manually have to change the query every time. Is there a way to always get the sheet on the first position?
Your question is very vague... I couldn’t understand it.
can you add more details ? Maybe add a visual example ?
Well like here I have to specifically put the name of the sheet (101420 DRAFT) I want to read(e.g. SELECT * FROM [101420 DRAFT$]). I wanted to know if there is like a notation to take the first sheet and not be dependent of specifying the name of the sheet. (Let me know if now is clearer now)
Some questions for you so that we all get a better understanding of the problem:
Any queries that are done within Excel would ideally be done using Power Query (also called "Get & Transform"). I can show you how to grab the first sheet using Power Query, but I need more details first.
