Does there a management Pack for SCOM exists to monitor Osisoft PI ?
@Wolfgang: We don't have a management pack for SCOM. Although, several PI Interfaces are available to monitor your PI Server such as the PI SNMP, PI Performance Monitor, PI Microsoft Windows Event Log and PI Ping. You can create rules within your PI Notifications to push messages back to the SCOM system.
yes i'm aware of this, i search for a possibility to monitor function like buffer queue corrupt,.. which doesn't appear in the (PI *Monitoring Tools*)
There is nothing out of the box, as far as I know. That said, you may be able to script and parse the output of the buffering utilities to detect queue corruption as described in this KB:
Of course the best solution is that PI Buffer Subsystem 2012 will reuse the same queue as in PI Server 2012, which means the likelihood of queue corruption will be significantly reduced.
Note, this next release of PI Buffer Subsystem is targeted for Q4.
By the way, this fix in PI Buffer Subsystem 3.4.380 will also help mitigate this issue somewhat:
Jay, are you going to run a beta of PIBufss 2012?
Of course ... only because you asked nicely. ;-)
There is no date for this yet, but stay tuned. I expect we will reach out to folks on vCampus...
Perfect, eagerly awaiting the beta! Multi-collective support? Pretty please...
