There is a lot of content about SAP in our databases.
If you provide more details about what you want to achieve we may be able to provide you with more relevant content.
Hope this helps a little though J
Thank you for your reply.
I need to propose to higher authorities how we can integrate pi to sap and process and which way it will be more efficient.
I need what are the ways available to integrate osi pi to sap.
I want to know complete information regarding integration, but I am not able to find any complete related information on this, if anything please provide me.

This is still very broad, and prior to get "complete information regarding integration" it is needed to understand what needs to be integrated.
Here are some questions that I believe may help this thought process:
. What will be integrated? Equipments, Performance indicators, etc. If there is many enumerate them all.
. What is the current way of using the information, are there any existing systems that are sending data to SAP?
. What type of information is needed in SAP? Is it aggregations, hourly/daily/raw values?
. How many values will be sent in the system, at which frequency?
. What is the goal? Once this data is in SAP, what will it be used for?
The more we know the better answer you may get J

We have to differ between integration to SAP. There are multiple different use cases:
- Integration to SAP ERP tools (i.e. SAP PM, QM, PP-PI, IS-U etc.)
- Integration to SAP HANA
Now my question would be: what kind of data you need to bring from PI to SAP (and vice versa). If you want to realize for instance a Condition Based Maintenance strategy using SAP PM integration, there are multiple ways of connecting PI and SAP, depending on which middleware layer you are going to use (i.e. SAP NetWeaver, SAP MII, ABAP programming).
If you want to integrate PI and the SAP HANA infrastructure in order to work with PI data inside HANA applications, SAP offers the so called "HANA IoT Connector by OSIsoft". More details can be found here:https://www.osisoft.com/corporate/business-analytics/sap.html
Thanks Patrice and Hans for your replies.
We have given central process information system to one of our client whose current power plant process is manual.
My main aim want to know how SAP will provide an efficient way by integrating with our current osisoft pi system, what will be the benefits.
Mainly power plant maintenance data need to integrate with our system.
That really sounds like SAP PM Integration to make data available for Condition Based Maintenance. Which kind of SAP integration technology does your customer have? Is it SAP MII or SAP NetWeaver? In order to make CBM a successful thing, there you need to fulfill some pre-requisites. If you need more information about this topic especially for the Power Generation, just visit our website. There are also some white papers available which give you some more details.

I wrote two generic blogs about the benefits of interfacing to an ERP system using MES as the middle ware:
The benefit of using a PI AF to ERP connection are:
- Data abstraction: Tag to AF Element using ISA-95 mapping
- Data conditioning: filtering, denoising
- Data aggregation: which CBM would be an example, but also max, min, ....
In general I would recommend to segregate the real time data by implementing an AF layer which performs the above mentioned functions.
Our management is planning to give solution of integration of pi with sap. We need to suggest our client how it will help by integrating how it will help and what are the benefits and what is the best approach to go with. I request if there is any document with complete information and how to configure guide to provide, it will help a lot.

I am afraid that what you are requesting does not exist in the form you are looking for.
You will need to work on defining the scope of what you need and look at existing documentation / content.
The topic seems to be in an early state from your explanations at the moment and we cannot provide further information until you provide more specific details.
Ok Patrice, if we want to integrate our pi system to sap pm system then there is any help document for configuring this.
One resource that I did not yet mentioned and that is quite good is our main website : www.osisoft.com
It contains full of presentations and videos from our customers, from users conferences and events, where they are sharing how they implemented solutions with the PI System.
You might want to start by making a search on this page:
And enter "SAP PM" in the search field.
edit1: You should consider that RLink is an older product formerly used to interface with SAP and you should ignore references to this product.
You should be able to find videos and PowerPoint presentations.
I was also told by Hans-Otto Weinhold that this presentation is good information:
Hope this helps a bit more!
The OSIsoft webinar below doesn't address the Integrator for SAP specifically, but instead it discusses our Integrator for BI. I point it out because there is a stretch of about 20 minutes in the middle that addresses building a business case for the Integrator. Many of the business concepts are the same across the Integrators. That is, optimizing production, analytics, predictive maintenance, and such.
From our press release:
"The new connector helps companies combine data from their control and automation systems and their smart devices, with transactional and business data. Then SAP HANA enables them to rapidly perform retrospective and predictive analysis and deliver actionable insights across their organizations. The solution is available now."
SAP also provides some content here: Highlights | SAP This page includes a very informative pdf for download that should have a great deal of the business case information you require. You just need to apply the high-level business advantages to your specific project ideas.
Let me know if this was helpful.
We can provide a connector that uses the SAP Web Services as the entry point to write data to SAP. We create a Web Service stub that then can send data to SAP via PI Notifications if you are looking for a method to send data to SAP based on triggered events.
You may also want to check out a new OSIsoft partner product from VIZIYA. VIZIYA IIoT connects PI to Maximo, SAP, Oracle and other systems as well. VIZIYA provides bolt-on software products to SAP and has fully certified integrations as well.
For more information you can go to https://www.viziya.com/iiot/
You can also find the solution on the OSIsoft Marketplace at VIZIYA’s WorkAlign IIoT Solution - Solution
If you have any direct questions, feel free to send me a message.
We have a very simple and inexpensive approach to connecting to any CMMS/ERP system including SAP, Maximo, MP2, EAM, Oracle, SQL Server or any other system that exposes Web Services. This connector simply provides a method to use your native PI Notifications delivery channel to send data to the CMMS/ERP system. We have a user friendly tool that allows you to pick the items on the CMMS/ERP that you want to write to and then you just set up the delivery channel and PI Notification and you are ready to go.
Import the WSDL.
Create new end point
Select items you want to write data to and actions including calling data back to PI.
Create delivery end point and then start building Notifications. You can build as many end points as you need.
