Hi all,Can anybody help me with the structure for PI Connector test scripts?
First off, your post has been posted in the Chinese section of PI Square. Is this intended?
What PI Connector are you using? Also, what are you trying to do with it, create a specific AF structure, get some tags created from the data source?
Hi Gab, the Chinese section was not intended believe was by mistake.
I'm using PI Connector for wonderware historian.
Below thread may help you.
Re: Powershell scripts for PI System maintenance
Lalit, I just had a look @ the link you provided. What I'm looking for is actually about how PI connector functionality can be validated. How does it automatically create AF attributes and updates tags. Does that makes sense?
I cannot provide a generic answer to your question since the AF structure, the meta-data for the PI points, etc... are based on the data source and can vary with the PI Connector being used. There is some commonality, such as the "Connectors" root element under which all AF structure is stored for all PI Connectors. Each PI Connector will store its root element under the Connectors root element, with the name of that element being specific to that PI Connector. Also, all PI points created by the PI Connector are BASE points. Those PI points are normally prefixed with the name of the PI Connector, e.g. "UFL.MyMeasurement".
The best approach is to reference the user guide for the specific connector and develop a validation script based on the information therein.
