I just thought I would catch everyone up on my journey. One of the best parts of my role as a PI System Administrator with Georgia-Pacific was being allowed to attend the annual OSIsoft PI User's Conferences. I have attended at least 10 of them over the years. While I am not a huge fan of San Francisco, I completely understand why OSIsoft has the event there. Over the years one of my co-workers (Tony Purvis) has been to these events with me. We have had some great times at the conferences as well as meeting some great people from OSIsoft and other industries. We have also made a tradition of going to Tony's Pizza Napoletana at 1570 Stockton St. Tony's is the home of 13 time World Pizza Champion, Tony Gemignani. When I was informed of my departure from GP, I felt I had probably experienced my last trip to San Francisco. I was wrong about that as well. MAVERICK Technologies sent me to PI World 2019 held just last week. I was able to see Tony Purvis again and we made it to our favorite pizza place. Being hired by Maverick has truly been a blessing. This year I met people from other industries and networked with people that I am currently doing business with as well as potential customers. I ran in to Jim Gavagin on several occasions and had some good conversation. If there was an award for "OSIsoft's Best Cheerleader", he would be the winner hands down. Things are going great right now. I miss the vacation time I had and haven't had a day off this year but it is coming. Thanks for reading my blog posts.
