I have been with MAVERICK Technologies for 9 months now. I have been working with some extraordinary people with both MAVERICK and Rockwell Automation. The work is quite different in that so far I have been more involved in the proposal development and bidding than actually performing the work. That will change in the near future as we begin to move forward on projects we have been awarded. I am excited to get my hands back into tag creation, AF development and display building. I still miss some of my colleagues from GP and I fully understand now, who have been true friends and who were just co-workers. There is a big difference. I guess I was a bit naive to think we were all friends but I have a much better understanding of that now. I feel it is still in my best interest to treat everyone with dignity and respect, to appreciate what they bring to the table and the fact that we all have lives outside of our jobs. I have to say that getting to know people from all over the globe is fun. I am sure that my North Carolina accent is just as hard for my colleagues from India to understand as their dialect is for me. Learning other cultures is great and understanding that wherever people are from, we all share a desire to put in a full day of work to be able to take care of our families. Speaking of families, my oldest daughter is due to bring our first grandchild into this world around August 30th. My wife and I are thrilled to see this sweet baby girl. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I will post again fairly soon.
