If you are looking for hard evidence how pervasive advanced analytics has become in the manufacturing world the following list may be of help. Similar to what we did before PI World San Francisco in April 2018, Brian Bostwick and I asked ourselves how much the PI ecosystem of users and partners are involved in advanced analytics and data science. We focused our measurement to all talks, labs, and other activities that are confirmed at PI World Barcelona, Sep 24-27, 2018. The result is below and is overwhelming. An interesting observation is that the community is clearly showing lots of real world results and signs of maturity which were absent a few years ago; this is very encouraging (see Day 1 and Day 2). On the other hand the technical potential promises much more progress and business wins to come in the coming years (see Day 3). We look forward to a great event. These are certainly exciting and potent times for the community; no wonder this is already the biggest PI World event in EMEA!
