Case description -

Sometimes when PI Vision is installed, it is configured with its default OSIsoft Self-Signed certificate.

This is a valid certificate for SSL security on a https request. However as this is a self-signed, it is not recognized by the client browser automatically.

Differently when a Domain Certificate Authority or a 3rd party authenticated certificate is used, recommended option.

Solution -

So these are the steps to install the certificate:

1 - Run Internet Explorer as Administrator

After these steps, you can close the browser.

When you open a new browser window the certificate error should not appear anymore. Except on Mozilla Firefox.
