How compatible Power BI is with PI data.
Is it possible to prepare reports such as monthly production reports, daily reports,..... using the combination of Power BI and PI AF data. Do we have any examples.
Yes it is. You should insider using event frames to aggregate the production numbers, then extract these using either DataLink or OLEDB Enterprise for BI reports

It is perfectly possible, at the very lowest level you can extract data into an Excel sheet, then with Power BI Designer you can build your data sets & reports off the Excel sheet. Just think of Power BI as Power View & Power Query for Office 365.
What would be interesting in this space is using the Data Management Gateway, which I haven't had much play time with yet.
Another option is to use Power BI and PI Web API (with OData). It may also be possible to connect it to PI ODBC 2014.
Has anyone tried this? Using PI Web API might be best from a performance point of view for display of any live/real time data.
Unfortunately, OData feature of PI Web API didn't make it to release. So this is probably not valid. However, using the PI ODBC Driver is still possible.
