There was a name the community competition and someone suggested PI Square. I guess the winner's name is just like "town square" which is:
A town square is an open public space commonly found in the heart of a traditional town used for community gatherings.
Seen as though we are an open public PI community, our town square is PI Square.
Thanks for the response...this does help clarify a couple of things :-).
In addition to what has already been mentioned, I always assumed it was a play on the mathematical problem of antiquity, squaring the circle, which involves the construction (using a compass and straight-edge) of a square with area equal to that of a circle. This is equivalent to constructing a square with area exactly equal to pi, a "pi square" if you will.Of course it was proven that pi is transcendental, and as a corollary, that squaring the circle is impossible.
