    PI Data type range


      In PI System follwoing PI-Data types are used :


      Is it possible to know the actual maximum and  minimum value of flat 16,float 32 and float 64 in PI ?

          OSIsoft has written an article that you can find here that describes the max and mins of various point types.  In general, OSIsoft recommends avoiding float16.

            In digital electronics terminology, 32-bit floats are often called "single-precision" floats, and 16-bit floats therefore are called "half-precision" floats, or just "half floats".


            Float 16, divides the range of zero and span into 32767 discrete states and it has precision of six digits afters decimal.
