Symbol needs to maintain script as it is copied to several different displays. Rather than the script being embedded in the process book display file.
As you noticed, copying and pasting symbols between displays will not copy the underlying VBA script. If this is a generic symbol that is used across many displays, you can consider having one display (the master display) that contains the VBA scripts that will be reused. Since displays can call methods from other displays, you can always have the master display open and other displays can call the VBA script in it. This way, you also only need to maintain one copy of the scripts.
