PI migration (upgrade) plan

Dear,

We have onsite a PI 3.4.375 32 bit Server on Server 2003 R2 SP2 and we need to get to PI 3.4.385 64 bit.

Acutally these are Rockwell PI historians but the background is the same.

Our migration strategy is building a 2008 R2 64 bit server and do pi upgrades to 64 bit and then to 385.

After then, during the migration weekend, we will just copy the latest archives from the old to the new server.

2 questions I have on that:

- 1. Will the pi 3.4.375 (32 bit) archives be able to get registered on the new server (I think yes because I was able to do so)

- 2. What if someone changes something to the Historian configuration in the meanwhile (add a tag), will I still be able to register the latest archive on the "previously migrated" historian?

Best Regards,

Joris
