How to update a PIPoint and get rid of all previous values at that Timestamp?

Originally the application used AFUpdateOption.Insert.  Some points now have multiple values at a given timestamp.  The application now uses AFupdateOption.Replace.  The documentation states that it "Add the value to the archive. If any values exist at the same time, will overwrite one of them and set its Substituted flag. ".  So, the application can never get rid of the other values. Is there an option that replaces all of the values at that Timestamp with the update value?

One idea would be to use PIPoint.RecordedValues(TS1, TS1).  If there are more than one value return, use multiple UpdateValue calls with "remove" for the values that are not wanted?

Is there a better way?
