Hi,

We have around 40 displays created in the Dev Environment . All processbook display have AF attributes in it.

We had to migrate these displays to Test Environment . In order to achieve this i had written a small piece of code that would replace the Af server names in the displays.

However when these migrated displays when opened on one of the servers (say Server A) , Processbook crashes. While on other server(Say Server B)  we are able to open these displays.

The only difference in both these servers are the AF Client versions.

Server A has : Processbook 2014 and AF client 2.6.2  ( Crashes)

Server B has : Processbook 2014 and AF client 2.6.1  (Works Fine)

Is this issue related to this article : https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Troubleshooting/Known-Issues/27002OSI8

When checking Application Events log i found and Event for MsiInstaller.

Warning :

Detection of product '{8F3A6DED-2DCF-4873-8E57-638CCA506A47}', feature 'FD_AFSDK', component '{E0F21F61-8DA2-4005-B367-EB070F47BD1D}' failed.  The resource '' does not exist.

Information:

Product: PI AF Client (x64) 2014 R2 SP1 -- Configuration failed.

Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: PI AF Client (x64) 2014 R2 SP1. Product Version: 2.6.2.6558. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: OSIsoft, LLC. Reconfiguration success or error status: 1603.

Also Noticed that when Processbook crashes:

1) Af client if opened shuts down.

2) Excel if opened Shuts down.

Anybody has any idea on this ?

Thanks & Regards,

Akash Naik.
