    SNMP Interface configuration

    PierreMarcil

Hello I have been browsing OSISoft youtube channel to find some information on SNMP interface.  I m pretty new at all on this kind of interface and dont know well how that work.  Only video I found was looking very old and SMT doesn't look at all as it is in the video.

I kind of know how to setup my tag, but kind of clueless about the ICU interface.   here is the log when I run interactive :

I m not quite sure on what i m missing.  I did pretty much only set the Point source in my interface.  i did create one tag with these info :

      exdesc : CS=public; user=readonly; APW=readonly;OID=1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.4.2.3.0

inst tag : HOST=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (well I got a real IP there)

      loc 1,2,3,4,5 = 1,0,0,1,0

I m not sure If I should see my ta in the ICU log in interractive mode...

          Hello Pierre,

The error Error [-10400] loading points. pipt_nextptwsourcelong failed for point source are normally due to a misconfiguration or a missing PI Trust.

          1. Could you please double check that you have created a PI Trust, to your Interface Node ,in your PI Data Archive?
          2. If you have correctly created the PI Trust, could you please check that you have one by IP and one by Host name? ( if possible also by FQDN)

Note: when creating a PI Trust please create individual ones.

          Thank you!
