Using RDBMS-PI in MySQL Database

Hi all,

I am recently working to setup a RDBMS-PI interface for a MySQL Database Table with following Schema:

Table: sensor_trigger_record

id   int(11) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY

sensor_id   int(11)

sensor_name   varchar(45)

time   datatime

event   varchar(45)

status   varchar(1)

where sensor_name stores the PI Tag Name (totally 6 tag names) for a development PI Server.

Following the user guide of RDBMS PI, I follow the Example 1.4 - Tag Distribution (Page 200) with following SQL:

https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Viewer/File/71C624F8-87F8-4DD6-8E05-74C086090107

>SELECT time AS PI_TIMESTAMP, sensor_name AS PI_TagName, event AS PI_VALUE, 0 AS PI_STATUS FROM sensor_trigger_record

However, following error message from PI-ICU is given:

RDBMSPI 1> Point - IAQ-MOTION-DISTRIBUTION-SC-1 : Unsupported RDB column PI_TAGNAME type -9.

RDBMSPI 1> Point - IAQ-MOTION-DISTRIBUTION-SC-1 : tag refused.

May anyone have any hints about this problem? I have struggled for hours but still cannot make this interface works.

Thanks so much for any suggestion.

Regards,

Paul
