Is there any way of converting the PI archive data in to CSV files. We have around 40GB of pi data.
What are the best ways through which this can be done.
I posted an idea for a solution in an earlier post, just a simple batch script/vbs script solution that dumps a tag list to csv files using piconfig. One thing worth noting is that 40GB of PI data will need a LOT of free disk space for the export, so best to incorporate a means of zipping each exported file on the fly. I have used these scripts successfully for a relatively pain-free migration of data during transfer of ownership of an asset, 10 years of data and approx 20,000 tags. It took a while but we got there!
Re: The fastest way to extract large amount of data to CSV files
PowerShell (AF SDK)
What system are you feeding the data into? There might be a direct way to do that.
You may consider one below KB article not sure but may be useful to you.
