how could I to make a svg drawing outside of ProcessBook, with another tools like inkscape (for example), and import it to ProcessBook? Is it possible?
Are there any tools or plugins that could help in this issue?
Unfortunately directly importing an .svg graphic into processbook is a current limitation.
You could open the .svg file created by a 3rd party application (via IE or another photo viewer), and paste it into ProcessBook- but it will cause for it to be converted to BMP loosing all the benefits of the scalable graphic format.
Doing this you may see that the clear background turns to white, and zooming in causes pixelation:
Here is the OSIsoft Logo in .SVG format, if you would like to test this:
We have a Enhancement Request to bring the full .svg rendering functionality to ProcessBook in the future:
15107OSI8 - PI ProcessBook does not provide sufficient rendering of custom images.
As a workaround, it should be possible to scale the original SVG to the desired size and with the desired background color within the 3rd party editor and save it as a .png
You can then use this in the ProcessBook display to present the graphic in a more desirable way.
Let me know if this answered your question!
I also decided to load the logo in .png format with a transparent background:
Processbook also had trouble preserving the clear background:
