We are looking for implementation of Event frames for PI Buffer subsystem, PI Snapshot, Archive and Event queue. Is that possible? If it so, Can you do the post for the solution of the same.
What is it exactly that you try to achieve? Trying to understand your question. E.g. would you like to track performance issues with these subsystems in EventFrames?
Is it possible to store the status of the services(Archive subsystem, PI buffer subsystem etc) in event frames?
If yes, please let me know how to do that.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, it's possible. The services expose counters in the windows Performance monitor, which you can pull into PI Points using the PI Perfmon Interface. That interface is included into the PI Data Archive for use on the PI Data Archive server.
Then build a simple AFmodel with some Analytics to create the EventFrames. Read on the interface here (for Collectives, but applies to one server for the main part too): https://livelibrary.osisoft.com/LiveLibrary/content/en/server-v2/GUID-A056EDFD-1E7F-4BDB-B555-3223B59AAFD5 and for BuffSS here: KB00363 - How to monitor buffering using pibufss and bufutil
But do note that the license only covers Perfmon on the PI Server itself as far as i know. I don't know if the license details allow remote performance counters, but if they do: KB01191 - How to Setup PI Perfmon Interface Security to Read Remote Windows Perfmon Counters
Or you could use the new PI Collector for System Health, and you only need to configure the Analysis! PI Connector for PI System Health 188.8.131.52 is released Saves you a LOT of work!
Agree with Roger, your question isn't clear enough to give an answer.
If you're looking for consuming Event Frames along a data pipe then you can wrap your own around FindChangedItems calls.
If you're looking to buffer the creation of Event Frames against AF then you wold again have to write that code yourself.
Of if you ask nicely, OSIsoft might provide a buffering solution for EF :-) Tell me your use cases......
Server-side buffering and -fanning?
Who/what/how are you generating EFs? What processes/information are you trying to capture with your EFs?
Nothing more than pradeep / Navaneethakrishnan asked: "store the status of the services(Archive subsystem, PI buffer subsystem etc) in event frames"
Is configuring PI Point perfmon counters and generating event frames from them in PI Analysis Service an option? It might also be possible to generate EF's off the output from PI Connector for PI System Health. https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Downloads/All-Downloads/PI-Interfaces-and-PI-Connectors/All-Products/All-Categories/Curr…
