I am getting error "Unable to write PISDK registry key" while getting the tag snapshot value at the first time application load.
PI SDK version : 188.8.131.526
Thanks & Regards,
The first thing I recommend to check is to kake sure that the following registry key exists and that the user running Microsoft Excel has write permissions to the key.
Hope it helps!!
Also, please try to run your application as administrator. If you try to uninstalling/reinstalling the PISDK as Butch has suggested, you should also run as administrator.
Check the Registry and see if the following key is missing: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\ClickToRun\REGISTRY\MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\PISystem. If the registry key is present, try repairing or uninstalling/reinstalling the PISDK? Can you give a little more information about the application and if there are any errors in the logs?
I cant see PISystem folder at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\ClickToRun\REGISTRY\MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\.
The actual error was as below, I am trying to run excel from the 64 bit machine and Office 2016.
As Marcos suggested, if the registry key does not exist you may need to run the installation kit as administrator. If the key exists and you still get this error give the user enough rights or run Excel as administrator.
We had this issue also. Running Excel one time as an administrator seemed to fix it.
Worked for me too. Thanks.
Thank you, Krishna!
Run Excel once as administrator helped me.
