Copy and (re)compress archive values with AF SDK

Hi,

a suggestion in the thread https://pisquare.osisoft.com/thread/12660 was to force a new tag compression by writing tag archive values into a new, empty tag (which has the compdev settings that should be applied).

How can I realize that by using AF SDK?

As soon as I reference the RecordedValues "values" of a tag and copy them into an empty tag "pointCopy" by using

pointCopy.UpdateValues(values, AFUpdateOption.Insert, AFBufferOption.Buffer);

the result seems to be independent from any compdev setting of pointCopy, resulting in an 1:1 archive copy of the source tag.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thank you.
