Best way to shrink archives after splitting up an Archive server?

I'm in the process of splitting apart a pi data archive server into several smaller servers.  I'm still developing my process so I'm totally open to suggestions, if i'm going the wrong direction with this.

So far, I've  taken a back-up of the existing server, restored to a new server, and deleted the points that don't belong on the new server.   What is the best way of reprocessing the archives to remove the event data for the points that I've deleted?   On some of the new servers I'm pretty sure I could free up 100+gb of disk space, if I can shrink the archives to include only the data that is relevent to the new server.
