Has anyone got the PI Tag status in Process book. Need to set a multi-state based on the status 1 or 2
I know there are SDK options but thought the .status attribute would work. Am I missing something, other than a few late week brain cells?
Actually, I missed that in the multi-state configuration, you can assign a color directly for when the value of the tag is bad. So, this might be the easiest option. In your multi-state configuration, simply enter in the tag you are interested in and set in the "Color for Bad Data". If you aren't interested in any other states, you can then set the other colors to all be the same.
If you want to make use of what I mentioned earlier, you can create a data set in ProcessBook and this won't make use of any tags.
By Status, do you mean if the current value of a tag is good or bad? If so, it is possible to do so using the TagBad PI Expression, for example TagBad('sinusoid') or TagBad('sinusoid', '*-5m'). Then, if the value "No Data" or something like that, then this expression will return a 1. You can then build your multi-state symbol base on that.
So it would be a new of tag or in an ad structure?
