I am creating a Process display book and I have several graphs with individual Pi-Equation trends on them. I would like to add buttons to some of the trends so that I can add some of the other Pi-equations to the same trend just by pushing the button.

For example I have this trend but I have 5 or 6 others that have the same property and I may need or want to display all of the other trends on this one graph to compare. I would like to add a button to the graph that would allow this to be easily done.

Thank you,

Dan

Yes, this can be done. In fact, it looks like your screen probably already has this capability with some of the buttons I see in the screenshot. Are the equations you want to add PI Performance Equation tags, or PI Calculation datasets within ProcessBook? Either way, it's a pretty straightforward procedure to do this. Based again on what I see in your screenshot, I'm assuming your equations are PI Calculation datasets within ProcessBook, so the following snippet works on this assumption.

If you are looking to add different columns of the dataset (such as Total, Average, Range, etc), just use that column name in the code instead of Value:

Does this cover what you are looking to do?
