Slow AF communication caused by slow SQL Istance

Greetings folks,

I'm having issues in a test environment where my application's communications and operability is being slowed down by AF calls to its attached DB instance.

By logging onto the DB I found that these queries are taking too much time to complete and I was wondering why:

http://pastebin.com/sb0h5vY4

Which takes more than 29243 ms

http://pastebin.com/ycpA598x

which takes more than 16605 ms

Either one of them have a low amount of CPU time (100 ms circa)

These slow downs happens randomly and keeps appearing/disappearing.

The average CPU and disk usage of the SQL instance is not showing any peaks.

The other two environments, which holds the same number of AF databases and has the same versions doesn't show any problem.

What could be the issue?

I'm pretty sure it's an SQL issue but it may be caused by an AF function, template or whatever.

I've no analysis running on the AF database.

Thanks in advance,

Massimo
