I am using APS for PI-EDA interface to SCADA. It doesn't seem to be calculating span correctly. Does in know to take the block low limit - block high limit? Found this in the MDB so not sure if it is doing a calculation or not?
After the support case we created the following work item:
125678 - APS Connector for iFix is not sync'ing zero and span
We plan to release a beta version of the APS connector to resolve this issue.
Hello Stewart Bernhardt,
What version of PI APS are you using? I found the following work item from versions 126.96.36.199: 19174OSI8 - APS connector returns wrong values for Zero and Span attributes if they are equal or greater then 1000.
This should have been fixed in version 188.8.131.52 of PI APS, so i am not sure if this is the correct solution.
Looks like I am using 184.108.40.206
Sorry I take that back I am using 220.127.116.11. just tried installing and it said it was already installed.
I have one other idea, could you verify that ASP is set to sync the span values? This is done by going to Settings > User-Set Defaults... > Initial Sync Masks and making sure the "Point is sync'd by APS:" box is check to "yes":
Yes I have sync turned on for span and it still is defaulting it to 100.
At this point it might be best to create a tech support case for this issue. I will create one and post the results here.
