Quick one: Is it possible to return UTC time in a SQL query using the ODBC Client (1.3.1) via DSN?
I believe that the returned timestamp is always in UTC Time in case of PI ODBC Client 1.3.x. See below workitem that is now fixed.
3325OSI8 - Allow timestamps to be returned as timezone of the Client or the Server
Since PI 1.2, timestamps are transmitted from Server to Client as UTC number of seconds since 1-Jan-1970. This causes data to appear time shifted when viewed by an ODBC client in a different timezone. Add a user-configurable radio button in the Setup and corresponding implementation in the Driver to allow the user to control whether data are displayed in the timezone of the Server or Client.
Upgrade is strongly recommended!
Hmm, that seems ancient. Current version (2016 / 3.something) supports timezone setting: https://livelibrary.osisoft.com/LiveLibrary/content/en/odbc-v2/GUID-7AA4357E-A7C5-4598-AF5C-4F635C1AFC0A
