I installed the PI-Data-Archive-2015-R2 but found the performance counter can not collect data, anybody know why?
How are you trying to visualize these performance counters?
1) If you are using Performance Monitor and the counters appear to be stale, they may be corrupt. The solution is to run two simple commands to rebuild the counters:
You can find all of the information in this Microsoft article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/2554336
2) If you are storing the values of the performance counters into PI Tags and these tags are not updating in real time then there is most likely an issue with your PI Interface for Performance Monitor. Here are some basic troubleshooting steps you can verify:
- Is the interface running?
- Are all points linked to that interface not updating?
-If all points are not updating, then verify the buffer queue to see if the data is caught in there. If it is verify that your interface can communicate with the PI Data Archive.
-If only points for your PI Data Archive's aren't working, make sure they are not corrupt (see (1) above) and make sure the user running the interface is in the Performance Monitor Users group.
