let's say I would like to create notification when memory less than 1GB then send email and if it still less than 1Gb and not fixed then keep sending email once a day or once two days, how I can do that?
To clarify - do you want to send multiple different email bodies to one contact at a single email address? I'm not sure this would be possible without configuring additional Notifications to do it. What is the use-case here?
Or, alternatively, do you want to send one email to multiple email addresses that belong to that contact? This should be fine, but might require some customization such as creating contacts with each email address.
"Non repetition interval" is a length of time at which the notification will not send additional alerts. Typically, this applies where an attribute might fluctuate around the threshold of opening/closing notifications. Without a non-repetition interval set, you'd send alerts out each time it crossed the threshold.
Some examples can be seen here: PI Server - Example of non-repetition interval
We will set up a Notification that triggers based on the PerfMon counter of "Memory\Available MBytes".
Here I have my PerfMon tag running, and I've created an attribute called Available MBytes on my element.
Now, heading over to the Notification navigation pane (bottom left), I'll create a new one..
Give it a relevant name, and then head to the "Trigger" tab
Press the "Select Target" button and I'll navigate to my element from above
Now we'll set a "New Condition" as a Comparison
Selecting my Available MBytes attribute, I'll then set the operator and value comparisons as such: Available MBytes < 1000
Press OK and now we'll set the frequency options at the bottom:
Uncheck "Notify only on change in status" since we want it to get resent periodically
Adjust your Resend Interval accordingly - here I set it to 1 day
From the 'Message' tab you can adjust the content of your message if you wish, or you can select the default. If you want to customize it, right click to 'Duplicate' that message, and we can now edit the duplicate.
On the subscription tab, you can select who to send it to, and for each recipient you can select their delivery format using the dropdown list. We'll want to select your customized message if you chose to do so.
I would also recommend checking out our YouTube Learning Channel if you would like to learn even more about all of this. It has tons of great tutorials and lessons such as this one on building Notifications: OSIsoft: Build a PI Notification with Multiple Conditions, Part 1. v2010 - YouTube
thanks Taylor for answers,
can I put multiple emails to one contact(if yes then how) or contact can have only one email?
