I 've a PI Tag available in DEV where the data is coming through using UFL Interface. How do I backfill the history of this data from DEV to another platform?
Using any one of the following:
- PI to PI
- PI Cloud Connect
- AF SDK (e.g. Powershell script)
- PI Config
Of Course we have PI to PI but that's not a good way to migrate the history of the data from DEV to Production system. Could you please suggest me how to migrate the history of the data for a PI tag from DEV to other platforms.

Why is it not a good way? Its function is to take data from one PI System to another, the interface itself is ignorant if the source or destination is a Development or Production system.
Otherwise you can work your way down the list I posted earlier, and add on to that using a clunky method like using PI datalink to pull data in and push it to another PI System.
You like to transfer historical data from a PI System that you are using for development purposes to a foreign historian system. Is this correct?
Can you call the foreign historian by its name, suggest the format or protocol you like to use for the data migration?
On top of that, are you willing to develop an application to do this migration? Which technologies/platform/languages are you familiar with? And which technologies are compatible with your other platform? Is C#/.NET one of them?
Thanks all for quick response. Used PIConfig utility to get this done as it was just a few tags. If there were many tags then would have gone for PIToPI Interface.
Definitely not developing an application for this.
Issue is sorted and so you can mark it as resolved. Many thanks again.@
