How can I generate a CSR for the PI Integrator for BA? Normally I would use IIS to generate it, but in the case of the integrator the web user interface does not run on IIS.
I want to configure SSL for the integrator.
I could see that this question is also related to the technical support case #748390, this may be useful for internal reference.
Is this installation going to face the public internet or is this only an installation that is in your company's intranet?
What was proposed for this is to involve a certificate authority and is the best option for the public internet::
Generate your own Certificate Signing Request (CSR) manually that has the domain name that you want to use.
Get the CA-signed cert. (from the Certification Authority)
Install the integrator
During the installation specify the certificate you want to use.
I would think that this could be possible to use a self-signed certificate as long as you can distribute those certificates in your organisation (otherwise your web clients will complain about the insecure certificate).
However I am not sure if this is possible or not, let me involve Bryan Owen, I think he could explain us what is the best option in case the server is in your company's intranet and is not facing the internet.
At first glance on TechNet this approach using Windows standard certificate utility seems applicable. Unfortunately I don't have time to give it a try right now. Please let me know if it works as described.
