Kicking on Workflows from a notification

We are starting into Notifications for our system, we have emails working ok, but what we are talking about  somehow having the notification make a call to K2 Workflow to start a workflow on the issue of the notification.

Anybody doing that sort of thing out there.

It would give us better accountability and tracking of the notifications..
