Trying to monitor an event frame template attribute (pi point) 30 seconds after event is triggered/captured. I've been playing with the time retrieval methods including a relative time with no luck. Thanks for any input.
The "Time true" or "True for" is a time verification for true values in Event Frames generation analysis.
As you are interested in seeing directly in attributes you may configure the time verification differently:
Or if you want to keep your last setup you may also.
The timestamp you are seeing as 2:38:47 is probably because you are using Automatic retrieval method.
As your Tag is Digital type it will timestamp the last existing timestamp, not the interpolated timestamp.
After you configured your Event Frames template and your Event Frame Generation analysis is up and running you should be able to search it in Event Frames tab.
Search by Event name:
You will find the Events:
Sorry I should have been more specific. I'm interested in the event frame capturing a template attribute 30 seconds after the event is triggered. I tried drilling down into the event template, then the attribute's time retrieval method (snapshot in first post).
Event: Safety Interlock Tripping
Performance equation watching the outputs (this case pi points valves' limit switches closing).
Capturing the Pressure input and Input Quality are not an issue, I want to capture them at the start of the event. Issue is there is approximate 30 seconds lag time to see the valve limit switches closing and I would like the event to capture that.
Thanks for any input.
I think I understand what your are saying, I can review the event data by an event search and using time series data.
What I was looking for was the snapshot data that the event frame will pull in (i.e. excel).
Thank you for your explanation, Garrick. So you said that your valve takes about 30 seconds to finish switching.
Is a "True For 30 seconds" time evaluation what you need?
Do you need to trigger the event after 30 seconds or do you just need to visualize the event frames after 30 seconds offset?
I still need the event frame to capture attributes at the interlock tripping. Trying to setup the Output Verification to capture its' point 30 sec after.
I thought about setting this up as a child event frame, but I'm not for sure if that would work.
I guess that creating a child Event Frame with time evalution of 30 seconds for the parent root cause would be the solution for you then.
Would this setup be the same thing?
For me it worked when I used Time True for 30 seconds evaluation directly in the event frame expression.
Relative time retrieval mode might try to interploate non-existent data.
What does the setup look like? Currently we are using 2014 R2 and I don't see Time True.
You may use the same expression for the child analysis, but with a periodic time settings (30 seconds). To make sure that it is evaluating the value after 30 seconds and not just the first event, you may also add a 30 seconds offset in the periodic "Advanced options".
Sorry still lost.
I've having a hard time understanding when you're saying "Time True" evaluation. Do you have snapshots of the setup.
I was able to capture "safe" sub event within my main event through the previous setup (snapshot above +20 secs). I fear though it is interpolated due to the snapshot time not occurring when the event went "Safe".
The time stamp should actually be 2:38:55 when sub event went into "SAFE".
Thanks for the snapshots, got it.
I'm going to try and keep my current setup and select "interpolated".
It might be a while before I can test it, but I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for your help.
No problem Garrick!I'm glad to help!
