When upgrading PI Coresight from 2016 to 2016 R2, is there a new version of the SQL database (PI_Coresight) with a new line in the "Version" table?
Or the database version stays "Version30Migration"
I looked at my test Coresight 2016 R2 database which was upgraded from Coresight 2016. My version table is showing Version30Migration still and does not appear to be a new line It looks like the database version stays named as Version30Migration which makes sense since 2016 R2 was mostly more a features update than a schema update.
Thank you Jesse!
So, I consider the installation is OK like that.
I concluded that the execution of the GO.bat script was not needed.
But, after the PI Coresight 2016 R2 migration without updating the database, the Import Folder Management crashed when stting new folders. Moreover, displays didn't work anymore when clicking on their thumbnails.
Then, I executed the GO.bat (suggested by the OSIsoft) and now it works fine.
So, the GO.bat script has to be executed even if the schema version of the database is still the same, because some tables are altered.
