Tags reporting 'Intf Shut' after Interface restart

Tags from Citect Interface are reporting 'intf shut' after the interface has been restarted? these tags report 0 or 1 on the Citect server but are showing 'intf shut' on the PI Server.  What do I need to do to fix this issue so these tags report the actual value of 0 or 1 instead of 'intf shut'?

      Thank you,

          Hi Mahalet,

There is a setting in the PI ICU that will have an interface write "Intf Shut" when shutdown.  This is expected behavior.  You can turn this behavior off by unchecking "Write status to tags on shutdown:" in ICU and restarting the interface.

How long have you waited after restarting the interface?  Most likely, the interface hasn't gotten a new value from the data source.  Once the interface writes a new value to the tag, you should see the correct value ("0" or "1") rather than the status "Intf Shut".
