There is a setting in the PI ICU that will have an interface write "Intf Shut" when shutdown. This is expected behavior. You can turn this behavior off by unchecking "Write status to tags on shutdown:" in ICU and restarting the interface.
How long have you waited after restarting the interface? Most likely, the interface hasn't gotten a new value from the data source. Once the interface writes a new value to the tag, you should see the correct value ("0" or "1") rather than the status "Intf Shut".
I am experiencing the same issue Mahalet reported.
In my case when the interface is up and running again a few tags register "Intf Shut" while others have data.
Each time I need to reset the SCAN option in SMT and then I get data.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
