    Regplugin vs Regplugin64

    Roger Palmen

Whilst developing a custom DR, everything was fine. Target Framework .NET 4.5.2 as i don't have to consider pre .NET 4.0 clients. So i put my DLL & PDB in the %home64/af/pulugins/4.0 directory and ran regplugin. Everyting works nicely, no issues.

But then i wondered, should not i have used Regplugin64? What's the difference? Regplugin64 does not appear in the sparse documentation (Request Rejected).

Always when you searched, did not find, made a post, and looked again, that you find an answer...

Re: AF 2012, .Net 4.0 and ProcessBook

Chris Manhard's comment explains it nicely: always use RegPlugin for any target (x86 & x64) DLL's. Check?

.NET 4 Only Plug-In Targeting Any CPU

This implementation works on any operating system architecture and the .NET 4 Framework. It does not work with the .NET 3.5 version of the PI AF SDK.

          RegPlugIn /PISystem:MyPISystem PlugIns\4.0\MyPlugIn.dll
